Microsoft recommends using three servers per pool, but also support topologies where 2 servers are added to one pool. This service can be found on both the front-end servers and the Director servers. The only service that is impacted by the quorum is the Front-End Service. For those of you who are not familiar with the quorum, it kind of states that more than 50% of the pool needs to be up and running in order to restart the services. Now the issue regarding this configuration is the Lync quorum. The environment had to be configured using one front-end pool with 2 servers, one director pool with 2 servers and an Edge pool with two servers. After installing I rebooted and Lync worked fine, rebooted again and it is crashing again with above error and KB2817465 is not installed after going through the installed updates list.Active Directory Agile Algemeen Apps Architectuur Auctions Business Model Contact Information Discussion Boards Energy Market FAST Search Server Future Google Internet of things Introductie iPad Managed Metadata Service Microsoft Microsoft Lync 2010 Microsoft Lync Server 2010 Microsoft Lync Server 2013 Microsoft SharePoint Workspace 2010 Microsoft Showcase Mobile applications Monitoring NINTEX Workflow 2007 NINTEX Workflow 20 Office 15 Phone numbers PowerShell Reporting Services SCRUM SharePoint 2007 SharePoint 2010 SharePoint 2013 SharePoint Connections 2010 Autumn Site Columns Skype Smart Grids SQL Server State Machine workflow STSADM Uncategorized Waterfall methodology Wave 15 Web applications Windows Phone 7 WSP XBOX 360 Twitter Tweets van joostvanlier Archiefĭuring recent implementation I was configuring a High-Available Lync 2013 environment. As of right now I installed all of the latest Windows Updates for my system, excluding ![]() I also found that when I installed Logitech camera software I get the same crash with MFReadWrite.dll. Removing the KB2817465 update hasn't worked for me. I have this same issue as well on a Windows 8 Ent 圆4 machine with Lync 2013įaulting application name: lync.exe, version. Anyone else using HP laptop/notebooks with this issue? I just had another user complain of the same issue and I removed all 3 instances of the Lync 2013 Security Update in the Updates list, all having the same KB number but installed on different dates. You have removed the recent updates but just check for that particular KB number to make sure. After removing both instances in the list I fired up Lync again and it worked fine. I went through and uninstalled KB2817465, the Security Update for Lync 2013, which somehow appear twice in my list of updates installed in the past week. This time Lync crashed immediately following the reboot after update so I joined the dots. The re-installation of OfficeĬured the problem until this morning, when another Windows Update took place. ![]() I didn't tie the update to the crashing and ended up reinstalling all of Office 2013 Pro after trying to just remove Lync and then reinstalling. I had the same problem earlier this week after an automated Windows Update session.
